Florida Atlantic Owls men’s basketball

Florida Atlantic University Football started play in the 1988–89 season. The Owls functioned as an NCAA Division II independent before the 1993–94 season, when they transferred to Division I along with the Atlantic Sun Conference. After spending 11 seasons in the Atlantic Sun, the Owls moved into the Sun Belt Conference, with the Remainder of Florida Atlantic University’s intercollegiate sports teams. The Owls transferred to Conference USA July, 2013.
The Florida Atlantic Owls men’s basketball team reflects Florida Atlantic University and competes in Conference USA of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played with the FAU Arena on the school’s Boca Raton, Florida campus. Their head coach is Dusty May, that was hired on March 22, 2018. The Owls have emerged in the NCAA Tournament one time, in 2002 while a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Owls joined Conference USA at 2013 within the NCAA conference realignment.
