Marc Marquez wins sixth MotoGP title with Thailand victory

Marc Marquez has won his MotoGP world title – and his fourth in a row – on Sunday after victory in Thailand.
The 26-year-old, that was taken to hospital after a crash in practice at circuit in Buriram, sealed his crown with four races to spare.
The Spaniard had to acquire at least two things more than closest rival Andrea Dovizioso – and did so as the finished fourth.
Fabio Quartararo was next.
Frenchman Quartararo and Marquez passed about the corner of the the final lap – but Marquez was able to retake the lead because of his 53rd MotoGP race win.
I was likely the weekend to win the race and not consider the championship, said Marquez.
My goal was to discover the ideal method to win the race, and that is what I did.
Amazing year. The team did an amazing job. Now it is time to enjoy and observe the title.
The race will take place in Japan on 20 October.
