The injury bug bit the UFC from the buttocks now as Rory MacDonald is out of his UFC 158 matchup with Carlos Condit due to a neck injury suffered in practice. In MacDonald’s place steps Johny Hendricks, and he will fight Condit from the brand new event of this evening. The information was originally reported by MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan. Together with the switcheroo — that is very disappointing to all viewing as though Condit vs. MacDonald was an early favorite to win”Fight of the Night” — Jake Ellenberger, who had been set to fight Hendricks, is left with no opponent, though it’s rumored Tyron Woodley could take the fight on short notice. Expect the MMA odds for Hendricks vs. Condit to be somewhat aggressive, though Hendricks will likely be a small favorite as a result of his wrestling edge. Jansen vs. Held Postponed Again An accident to Marcin Held has forced the postponement of his Bellator Season 7 Lightweight Tournament Final against Dave Jansen for the second time, according to a report from MMAjunkie.com. The lightweights were first set to meet at Bellator 84 but the Athletic Commission wouldn’t permit Held, who was 20 at the moment, to enter the casino and the struggle was scratched. The rain date, that was set to take place was rearranged and the two will meet at Bellator 93.
