Despite leaving the team in the 23, serge Aurier has questioned the strength of competition for his position as the right-back of Tottenham.
The Ivory Coast defender says that he wanted from Spurs and has been of interest to a number of clubs such as Inter Milan, but a movement away failed to materialise.

But speaking to French-African broadcaster Bal des Productions, Aurier stated:”What rivalry? There is not any.
“I had just decided to leave [this summer], which was normal for me personally. Things were taken under consideration. In the end, I wasn’t able to depart.
“It proves that the club hope me on plenty of points. We’ll see how the season pans out, but for now, I am here, how the transfer window is closed and we will need to concentrate on the campaign ahead.”
Tottenham return to Premier League action at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, having won just one of their opening four games, drawing two and losing at home to Newcastle.
